Take Part Take Pride in Wallington
In keeping with this year’s Take Part Take Pride theme we have organised a Wallington Community Coffee Morning on Thursday 10th July between 10.30am and 2.30pm. There will be free tea and coffee served on the lawn in front of the Old Town Hall and also cakes, some of which may even be made by my own fair hands! Students at Orchard Hill College have kindly offered to help serve the refreshments, and you may also encounter your local councillors and MP. However the main idea is for local residents, workers in local shops and businesses, and anyone who comes to Wallington regularly, to get together and have the opportunity to chat to each other. In Wallington we are very proud of our community spirit, and we hope to nourish this with a little light refreshment!
If you work weekdays then look out for another event being arranged by the Friends of Wallington Library and Gardens on Saturday 19th July from 10.30am. This Saturday is being designated as Wallington Day and the Friends have organised a party in the library gardens to celebrate. Look out for more information about the party around Wallington.

Visiting Resident
I made a visit to a resident to discuss their problems with overhanging trees.
