Take Part Take Pride in Wallington 2009

 

Your Wallington South Ward Councillors are hosting a Wallington Community Fair on Thursday 9^th and Friday 10^th July as our contribution to this year’s Take Part Take Pride celebrations. The fair will be held on the lawn in front of the Old Town Hall in Woodcote Road (Wallington High Street) between 10am and 4pm.

Our fair aims to show a range of the community groups and activities we have in our area and provide the opportunity for you to find out more about them and perhaps consider joining up or becoming a volunteer.

As well as the Carshalton Bowls Club, Girl Guides, Neighbourhood Watch, Scola, Orchard Hill College, Rotary and Muslim Welfare Association, the Wallington South Safer Neighbourhood Team will  be available for you to talk to.There will also be officers from the Sutton Waste Dept. to answer your recycling queries.

 On the Friday we will be joined by the Smarter Travel Sutton Team to talk to you about alternative means of travel and the plans for the Wallington Integrated Transport scheme will be on show for you to discuss with the consultants and feed in your views.

 We may still be able to squeeze in another group on the Thursday if you want to promote your local organisation, just let me know.

 On both days there will be a Councillors stall with squash & biscuits to give you the opportunity to meet with Richard, Colin and myself.
