Campaign success to get bridge repainted
I joined Tom Brake MP in Wallington to check out the railway bridge now it has been repainted thanks to a successful campaign by Tom and ourselves. Neglected for years it’s shabby appearance was more noticeable since the public realm improvements in Wallington high street.
Whilst we were posing for a picture, local resident Gregory approached us to say how much better the bridge looked since it had been painted. This made us laugh as we explained that this was the very reason we were having our picture taken and we invited him to join us. We were also delighted to hear that the refurbishment works had his approval as he described how much the area had been lifted as a result of the works.

I hope the new anti-pigeon spikes will be more effective than previous ones :)
