Wallington Weather Update 1st December 2010

Full details of local transport conditions, school closures and services in operation are being updated regularly on the Sutton Council website.

Local school closures today include Bandon Hill, Beddington Infants, Beddington Park Primary, Wilsons, St Elpheges Infants, Forresters, Stanley Park Infants & Juniors & Stanley Park High School, Wallington Girls, Amy Johnson, Carew Manor, Carshalton Boys & Wallington Boys.

High View is not open for reception or nursery classes but open 9.30-2.30 for years 1-6.

Council leisure centres and libraries are all open today. Meals on Wheels is running. Most day centres are closed.

Scola centres are closed all day.

Shotfield Health Centre is open as usual but probably not after 6pm.

The south east’s rail network is “extremely limited” and many lines will close early.  For more detailed train running information, you can use the Southern journey checker at www.journeycheck.com/southern or the train times planner on www.nationalrail.co.uk  You can also call national rail enquiries for the latest information on 08457 48 49 50.

Tonight the weather forecast is for up to 10 centimetres more snow from 9.00pm until around midnight.
