Wallington Integrated Transport Package Steering Group Meeting

I attended the fortnightly Members & Stakeholders meeting which reviews the progress of the works and deal with any issues arising. The group was updated on a late objection to the plans received from Lidl and their proposed drawings for an alternative to the one way stretch at the entrance to Beddington Gardens from Woodcote Road. Representatives from Lidl were expected to attend the meeting but failed to appear. The group rejected the initial drawings as unworkable as vehicles were likely to mount the pavement when turning.

Members were disappointed to learn that due to the need for a traffic order the 30 minutes free parking in the library car park could not be implemented until June.

The need for good signage was agreed and examples would be brought to the next meeting for approval.
