National Eye Health Week Sutton Events

National Eye Health Week runs from Monday 21  to Sunday 27th September and local organisations Sutton Vision, Thomas Pocklington Trust and the RNIB are putting on two events in Sutton to highlight that ‘Vision Really Matters‘.

Both events take place on Wednesday 23rd September

The first event is the chance to understand what the world is like if you have a visual impairment as the RNIB will place their ‘Eye Pod‘ in Sutton High Street outside Waterstones on  between 10.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Then between 1.30 – 4.00 p.m there is an Information Event at the Salvation Army, 45 Benhill Avenue, Sutton  There will be short talks from representatives from the Local Optical Committee and Sensory Impairment Team regarding common eye diseases as well as information stalls manned by local service providers. Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon and the event will end with a tea dance.
